In the 1861 census there are no matching records, but in 1871 Henry Francis, 19, is a silk weaver and publican in Junction Street Junction Street later became Vine Street. This beerhouse is the VINE COTTAGE, which H. Francis kept as a public house to 1886 and then Mrs Sarah Francis to 1909.
