In the 1841 census Thomas Glaze is 61, a retail brewer at Hertford Terrace, Butts Lane, married to Elizabeth Glaze, 60. In 1851 Elizabeth Glaze, a widow, 68, is a licensed victualler in Hertford Place. This beerhouse became the Half Moon.
