In August 1918 Samuel Taylor, beerhouse keeper of the Nugget Inn, Coundon, was summoned for assault on a 15 year-old boy, but it was deemed trivial and Taylor was fined just 2s. 6d. and costs.
This may have been the last beerhouse in the Coventry area as it doesn't appear to have got a full public house license until 1935. | |||
