Gosford Street (Johnson)

Address:Gosford Street
In the 1841 census Elizabeth Johnson, 45, is a beer seller in Gosford Street. In the 1851 census there are no matching records. From 1822 to 1823 S. Johnson ran the Britannia in New Street. Then in 1835 we find Samuel Johnson at the Old Star, Earl Street. In 1857 we have the first licensee of the Board, Earl Street named as J. Johnson. Possible this Beerhouse is the Board, with the census putting it in Gosford Street.
