I can find no other mention of Henry Lane, but the Lentons were very active in the local licensed trade. We have Mary Lenton at Chequers, Foleshill, in 1835 and the Crow in the Oak Beerhouse, Lockhurst Lane, 1841 - 1845; Mr and Mrs Lenton at the Hare and Hounds, Watery Lane, in 1841; W. Lenton at the New Inn, Gosford Street from 1935 to 1940 and the Lamp, Market Place 1939 to 1940; and James Lenton at the Royal Albert in 1867.
