Bear and Boy, High Street

High St East Early 1900s
The High Street in 1910.
Goodness knows where this name came from. If other places can have the Eagle and Child, then I suppose Warwickshire can have a Bear and Boy. It is mentioned in 1756 when nine soldiers were billeted here. In 1765 it closed and the premises were sold.
