Bear and Boy, High Street
The High Street in 1910.
Goodness knows where this name came from. If other places can have the Eagle and Child, then I suppose Warwickshire can have a Bear and Boy. It is mentioned in 1756 when nine soldiers were billeted here. In 1765 it closed and the premises were sold. |
