Fox Chase, Street not known, Keresley

The Fox Chase adjoined "The Hall" which appears to be the old Keresley House. The Coventry Herald of 30th August 1833 advertises an auction taking place at John Oldham's Fox Chase. The "Freehold Public House", Fox Chase, was put up for auction by John Oldham in September 1848. In Kelly's 1850 Directory John Oldham is referred to as a farmer only.

This sign has been used since the fifteenth century and is an obvious reference to hunting.
