These premises have been known by different names during their history: | FROM | TO | NAME |
c1984 | ? | LEG AND CRAMP | |
? | 2013 | CHESTNUT | |
This pub was built c1984 and was Banks's first pub in the city. The name was a result of a competition in the Coventry Citizen newspaper and was suggested by a theatre nurse at Walsgrave Hospital. In this case a cramp was an item of surgical equipment, although the sign has shown a sportsman's leg with cramp in the past.
Later named CHESTNUT. | |||
