Peel Arms, Peel Street

In April 1861 the Peel Arms was mentioned as being nearly opposite newly built two-storey houses being sold for auction. In February of the following year the Coventry Herald reported an auction for "Eighteen New and substantial HOUSES . . . one of which is the well-situated public-House known as the Peel Arms".
