Poachers Retreat, Hockley Lane

These premises have been known by different names during their history:FROMTONAME
19571983STANDARD
19832010POACHERS RETREAT
This name simply refers to the semi rural nature of the pubs setting. Until 1st December 1983 it was THE STANDARD. From the outside it looked like a 1950s church hall or community centre - completely unremarkable. The inside was decorated with a country theme. The pub was demolished in 2011 and replaced with a small housing estate. Poachers Retreat 2010 And 2012
