This pub opened on 6th March 1962 and was a single shop unit. Its shop window frontage was obscured by a typically ugly concrete stairway. In 1985 it was 'a modern city centre pub hidden behind a set of stairs. Upstairs lounge and downstairs bar with games room. Quiet'. Perhaps because it was so quiet it closed in 1991 and became a shop.
