Town Crier, Queen Victoria Road

Town Crier The town crier was the official, usually dressed in a robe, who made public proclaimations, attracting attention with a bell and the cry 'Oyez, Oyez'. I believe this pub was named for a modern holder of the office. It was opened on 19th July 1990 by Banks' and was their first pub in central Coventry.
