Canteen, Barrack Yard
This was the canteen attached to Coventry barracks. It was used for auctions in 1848 and we read of a number of transfers of the license in the 1860s. Not much else is known of the Canteen and it is said to have closed c1892. It certainly cannot have continued after the closure of the Barracks and its conversion into a market in 1922. Was it open to the public ? | |||
