This name was a play on Flowers Original Bitter (FOB) and the fact that it is in the old watchmaking area of Spon End and Chapelfields.
Until 1981 this was the SUMMERLAND TAVERN, when it became the FOB WATCH. In 1994 it reverted to the SUMMERLAND TAVERN.
In 1985 it was said to be 'a pleasant pub ......two seperate drinking areas, one with a pool table'. | |||
