The name of this bar comes from its location in an old church spire.
From 1999 this bar occupied the old Greyfriars, or Christ Church, spire, and specialised in bottled foreign beers. More history about the spire and church in which it was hosed can be read here on Historic Coventry.
The InSpire Bar closed in November 2019 and in December 2020 Dhillon's Brewery announced that they planned to open a bar of their own in the old spire. After a delay due to Covid 19, the SPIRE BAR finally opened on 12th April 2021.
