Newdigate Arms, 11 Hill Street

Newdigate Arms Hill St Occasionally spelt Newdegate. This pub was named after the family that owns Arbury Hall near Nuneaton. They were a local coal mine owning family. In 1852 a license was granted to James Eaves for the Newdigate Arms. 11 Hill Street suffered bomb damage In 1941, and it closed on 3rd November 1961.
