This pub gets its name from a local place name, and was built as part of the then developing Wyken Estate. It opened on Saturday 16th May 1931, and one year later the licensee, Albert Bowen, also gained a "Music and Dancing" licence.
On the 4th December 1978 it became a Toby Inn.
It was officially opened as the WALSGRAVE HOTEL, but locals tend to regard it as The Walsgrave - the name indeed now carried by its sign. | |||
