Opened with the new name Diplomat in early May 1986. An article in the Coventry Evening Telegraph at the time said that the pub had formerly been the Tramlines (which was incorrect, it was the Tramway Inn), and before that, the TURK'S HEAD.
In September 1991 the pub was bought from its former owners, Mitchells & Butlers, and a deal was signed with Ansells.
In 1996 the pub was refurbished and opened with another new name, AZTECS. However it reverted to The Diplomat in 2003 until 2014 when it became ROADHOUSE. | |||
