Next door to the TRAMWAY INN / TURK'S HEAD at No.29 was GARIBALDI'S at No.31 Silver Street.
William Taylor took over the license of the TURK'S HEAD in 1890, and by the time his death was announced in the Coventry Herald in June 1892 the pub's name had been changed to the TRAMWAY INN, in reference to the then new rail system in Coventry.
In 1900 Phillips and Marriott valued this pub at £1,200.
In June 1934 Capt. D. W. Ratliff applied for the name to be reverted to the TURK'S HEAD. | |||
