Bell Inn Tile Hill This pub was regularly used for auctions - as were most, it seems. In September 1853 it was renamed the BELL INN, the license being returned to Thomas Chattaway after Edward Jackson had filed for insolvency. From 2020 it became the AUCTION HOUSE.

Usually associated with a nearby wheelwright's premises. The Company of Wheelwrights dates from 1669.

LICENSEES:

1837 - 1851 Thomas Chattaway, carrier 1851 - 1853 Edward Jackson (insolvent, Sep 1853)
